A Hill giant attacks a Mountain Dwarf... A Battle in the world of LARP!
LARP is a Live Action Role Playing game designed to encompass the best parts of fantasy and medieval drama with problem solving intrigue.
Legendary Adventures, Role Play Utah is operated 50 minutes East of SLC in the Uinta Mountains at a REAL Inn! There are thousands of acres of natual environment to make the players feel more In-Game than other "park" based LARPs. Plus, with the Inn, we have a setting that is more authentic than just running around an abandoned warehouse turned seasonal haunted house. We also offer camping with the possibility of staying directly in the Inn. We have events all year long!
The operators/ founders of LARP Utah, LLC, have over 70+ combined years of LARP experience and have been playing LARPs for longer than ANY other organized LARP in UTAH!!!
This "Boffer" based live action role playing game takes place in a medieval fantasy setting. It is important to know that there is contact made from weapons, however they are designed to be safe when used properly. Players should enjoy hiking and camping (even in extreme weather) for the backdrop of the game is a natural outdoors experience with survival against the odds being the key. Events are planned monthly in general.
The rules, albeit very detailed, have room for interpretation as the game play directs, with COMMON SENSE and the RULE FOR FUN being foremost in the storyteller's mind. So, be creative, use the rules in new ways, and likely the results will be positively received. If you wish to get a full copy of rules for character creation, please email us at larputah@gmail.com. Those who have played similar games will find that there is a basic knowledge of gaming that is shared among each different system. This system is unique on many levels however, including over 400 spells in 6 different magic systems, 17 species, as well as more diversified skills for all classes; fighters, rogues, mages and merchants. All of which allows for endless combinations of character types for the nearly endless variations of personal player experiences. We also have put a great deal of resources into costuming, props, and safe weapons over the last few years so the game is as immersive as possible (you dont need to ask "What do I see?" because you WILL see it). Some LARPs use pop sickle sticks to represent items including potions which will NEVER be seen in our game. We feel that only the most realistic props should be used whenever possible. Please email us with questions and we will try to respond promptly. larputah@gmail.com
